Where these listings come from
Listings come from public state licensing records, state business registration records and open business map data. A card shows a license status only when a licensing record includes one. Listings marked “From state business registration records” are business registrations, not contractor licenses. Listings marked “From public business map data” come from open map data and have not been checked against any license record. Some member-only listings come from business directory data. Every listing stays unclaimed until the business claims it.
